Hawks swept by UCSC in their first official match of 2014 season

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - On Saturday night, the Holy Names University Men's Volleyball team was swept in three sets to UC Santa Cruz, 25-15, 25-18, 25-20. 

Leading the Hawks in kills was Keenan Paulos (Makakilo, Hawaii) with seven on Saturday. 

With a .571 hitting percentage, Kyle Cazares (Monrovia, Calif.) led HNU. 

Defensively, Michael Gomez (Pearl City, Hawaii) led the Hawks with six digs.

On Friday, January 24, the HNU plays a non-countable match in Rohnert Park against Sonoma State's club team with a first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. The next countable match for HNU takes place on Sunday, January 26 at UC Merced.
